A Maryland State Department of Education Resource

Steering Committee for Behavior

The purpose of the Maryland State Behavior Steering Committee is to effectively collaborate with behavior support professionals, representing schools in all Maryland regions, to share best practices that identify, teach, support and monitor social, emotional, and behavioral learning for all students.

In Maryland, highly effective behavior professionals will, through statewide collaboration, support the implementation of best practices for schools to create safe and positive learning environments that increase student achievement.
