TOGETHER WE ELEVATE

The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) is committed to prioritizing and providing resources for early intervention and education services to local education agencies, communities, and families. Our mission is to ensure students with disabilities receive access to the general education curriculum and specially designed instruction, and to address each student’s individual developmental, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs within culturally responsive learning environments.

TOGETHER, WE ACCELERATE

OUR MISSION is to close existing gaps between children with disabilities and their non-disabled peers and ensure that all students will be ready for school, achieve in school, and be prepared for college, career, and community living.
