Decision-Making Tool for Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans
The Decision-Making Tool is a resource designed to help school-based teams through the decision-making process of determining whether a Functional Behavioral Assessment and Behavior Intervention Plan should be completed for individual students. It is aligned with the Maryland Online IEP System for Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans and will guide users step by step to gather data to make decisions and to support evidence-based practices. The Decision-Making Tool was created by participants of the Johns Hopkins University School of Education Applied Behavior Analysis Program (2019-2020) and the Maryland State Department of Education State Grants-B: Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis for Educators in Maryland (Grant #: 200495).
Functions of Behavior Training
This training is designed to provide educators with “the why” behind challenging behaviors that can happen in a classroom setting. This self-guided training provides various examples (including videos) and clear explanations of behavioral functions to direct participants on the path to effective classroom interventions. The Functions of Behavior Training was created by participants of the Johns Hopkins University School of Education Applied Behavior Analysis Program (2019-2020) and the Maryland State Department of Education State Grants-B: Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis for Educators in Maryland (Grant #: 200495).
