Overview of Evidence-Based Practices in Early Childhood Intervention powerpoint title page

This awareness-level webinar presented by Dr. Dathan Rush and Dr. M’Lisa Shelden provides an overview of evidence-based practices in early childhood intervention. The background and rationale for using a primary service provider approach to teaming, natural learning environment practices, and a coaching interaction style are reviewed in order to build the capacity of parents, teachers, and other care providers to promote child learning within the context of everyday routines and activities. The presenters share the evidence-based characteristics of teaming, natural learning environment, and coaching practices as well as discuss strategies that can be used by all early childhood intervention practitioners from a variety of backgrounds (service coordination, education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, special education, and speech-language pathology).
